Karen Whyte
Karen Whyte (nee MacNeill) paints images of waterways and the natural
world. She is drawn to the magic of shorelines and edges and much of
her work explores this theme. Her experience of wilderness has
rewarded her with a deep appreciation of both the lure of nature and
the richness of our Earth.
Karen worked as an R.N. for many years at a general hospital while
pursuing her interest in and love of art and painting. Now retired
from nursing she continues to enjoy drawing and painting in her home studio.
Karen's art represents specific places that she remembers, most of
the views that intrigue her are from the water.
